US Border Crisis At Record

The US Border crisis is quite a hot topic!  Last month, the Border Patrol processed more migrants who entered the US illegally than in any other month in its history, according to internal federal data obtained by CBS News.  That record-breaking number of crossings is 300,000 and counting.  This surpasses the previous record of 270,000 in September 2023.

This surge in border crossings continuously put a strain on resources and created a major political liability for Joe Biden as he seeks re-election in 2024.  The situation is further complicated by the fact that the US government is considering new limits on asylum seekers and expansion of detention and deportation efforts.

The influx of migrants has led to concerns about the impact on the US and the potential strain on resources, infrastructure, communities, and safety of the citizens.  We don’t know who is coming in at this point.  It remains to be seen how the Biden administration will address this crisis and what long-term effects it may have on the United States.

A few things we know, this is not good for many reasons such as safety and draining our resources as we see so much conflict and challenges in the world.  We need to secure and close the border.  The safety of our citizens are at risk because we don’t know who is entering our country and what they could bring and caused.
